The year of 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of Ann-Hua Chinese School.  What began as a small school created by 8 families interested in teaching their children Chinese language and culture has now grown into the current Ann-Hua with the Ann-Hua Chinese School, Ann-Hua Activity Center and Ann-Hua Rainbow Project.  Not only has the Chinese School expanded to serve significantly more students and families with language and cultural classes, Ann-Hua also offers 11 annual cultural and entertainment events in the greater Ann Arbor area, such as the Chinese Drum Band and Dragon Dance for the 4th of July parade and Chinese New Year Celebrations in the Briarwood Mall.  

    Ann-Hua is making an impact!  Ann-Hua is making history! What is on Ann-Hua’s drawing board is of a vital hub of the Chinese-American cultural exchange in the region that provides more extensive services to the communities of the greater Ann Arbor area. Such services and activities include, but are not limited to, bilingual child care, pre-school, after school and summer camp for our local children, as well as more classes geared toward non-native Chinese learners. In addition, Ann-Hua will continue with her tradition of sharing Chinese culture through the hosting of live performances and open music and dance studies.  We also plan to organize activities and day care services for our senior citizens as well as to support the members of the community by providing youth mental health counseling, legal and emergency assistance.

    Ann-Hua needs a HOME!  Ann-Hua needs space to grow and do what Ann-Hua is great at!  Having a facility of her own is vitally important for now and for our future growth.  The core issue, or, the bottle neck of such growth, is, once again, not having a facility that meets such needs.  We sincerely hope you will support Ann-Hua, in whatever way you can, big or small, in her chase of the dream of having a building, a facility and a HOME for her community!  ​Please join us in this grand endeavor!
